Background

The City of Powell is a upscale suburb of Columbus, founded in 1857 with a population of about 6,000. They needed to have a dynamic, content rich website to communicate to their citizens.

Problems / Objectives

• The City could not afford to have a software consultant to administer their website on an on-going basis.
• The website information needed to be updated frequently.
• The City has numerous government forms to be organized and ready for distribution.

Salient Software Strategy

• User-friendly administration tools were installed, enabling clerical-level staff to make changes to the website.
• Creation of an e-Calendar conveying a schedule of City-sponsored events to the constituents.
• Creation of a searchable document archive, enabling the citizens to search and find key rules, regulations and tax information.
